Efrat Kasznik

President & Founder

As Foresight’s Vice President, Efrat is in charge of the firm’s business development, thought
leadership and professional services activities. She brings over 20 years of diversified experience
as an IP valuation and strategy expert, having assisted companies of all sizes and across a range of
industries with valuing, commercializing and monetizing their innovation. Efrat is a Lecturer on IP
management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, is listed on the IAM 300 list of Leading IP
Strategists, and is a member of the LES High Tech Sector leadership committee. Prior to Foresight,
Efrat was a practice leader at two consulting firms, where she ran the IP Valuation and Intellectual
Asset Management (IAM) practices. Efrat has also been a co-founder, CFO and adviser of several
startups in Silicon Valley and in Europe. She holds an MBA from UC Berkeley, and a BA in Accounting
& Economics from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. In the early mornings you will often find her
hiking the Stanford Dish, where she finds inspiration for great ideas.

Michael Craner

President & Founder, MediaComm Innovations

Michael Craner is a technology executive and registered patent agent with over 30 years experience
in cutting-edge systems development, integration, deployment, and management; and over 15 years
experience in licensing and intellectual property analysis/assertion/protection. His background
spans concept-to-revenue with a broad range of products: from advanced telecommunications and
military systems, to high-volume consumer multimedia and CATV digital appliances, and more recently
renewable energy and home automation management. Mr. Craner held the positions of Intellectual
Property Architect at Comcast/Guideworks as well as Director of Licensing at Motorola’s Broadband
Communication Sector (BCS) where he was responsible for all licensing in and out for BCS, as well as
management of a patent portfolio of over 500 patents covering digital compression, secure multimedia
transport, video on demand (VOD), voice over IP (VOIP), cable modems, optical transport, and
personnel video recorders. He also participated in standards-related groups including MPEG LA – the
licensing administrator for the MPEG digital video standard IP pool.
Mr. Craner holds investments and serves as patent counsel for both a home automation and an energy
storage/management startup firm. He holds a masters degree in electrical and computer engineering
from SUNY Buffalo and has taken postgraduate coursework at VPI & Johns Hopkins universities. He
is a registered patent agent with the USPTO, a member of the Licensing Executive Society high-tech
sector “Internet of Things” and “Clean Tech” committees, member of the Society of Cable
Telecommunications Engineers, senior member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics
Engineers, and president of the Philadelphia Chapter of Tau Beta Pi National Engineering Society.

Lynn Dudinsky

Director of Business Development

Lynn Dudinsky, is a graduate of the Santa Clara Law School, where he was awarded the High Tech Law
Certificate with a specialization in intellectual property. As Foresight’s Vice President, Lynn
provides our clients with IP strategy and analysis expertise. Prior to joining Foresight, Mr.
Dudinsky worked for the Patent Department of Samsung Research America in Silicon Valley, where he
performed research and evaluated inventions originating from the Samsung scientists and supported
provisional, non-provisional and foreign filings. While at Samsung, Lynn was exposed cutting edge
technology, many of which was in the wearable, software and IoT space. Mr. Dudinsky also drafted
patent applications and interacted with the USPTO while working for a patent prosecution firm during
his time at Santa Clara School of Law. Mr. Dudinsky brings a rich scientific background, holding a
B.S. in Biology and having also attended graduate school at Texas A&M prior to starting law
school, and having worked at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston as a microbiologist. When not at
work, Lynn can be found exploring the trails and beaches of the Bay Area with his Chocolate Lab
Bailey.

Joshua Persky

Valuation Associate

Joshua Persky is a results-oriented, critical thinker with a deep passion for effective communication. With over twenty years’ experience as an executive and consultant, he has worked for commercial and investment banks, such as Fortis Capital and Houlihan Lokey, as well as for valuation and accounting firms, such as Quist Valuation and WeiserMazars.

Persky’s expertise ranges from finance to satellite and wireless communications. At Gilat Satellite Networks, as part of the Business Development team, he identified potential strategic partners and worked on a business plan in which Microsoft and Echostar each invested $50 million. At Fortis Capital, he started and managed an Agency for Syndicated Loans, growing it within four years to a $2.5 billion commercial loan portfolio. At WeiserMazars, he helped value the largest real-estate investment in the USA: Stuyvesant Town.

As a business valuations consultant, Persky has valued hundreds of private companies of all sizes and industries. His clients have been among the largest hedge and pension funds, brand name valuation, accounting and law firms, as well as individual business owners and investors. Most recently, he has produced numerous economic damage reports for litigation concerned with divorce, intellectual property, business interruption and personal injury. Luca Escoffier

CEO and Co-Founder, Innoventually

Luca graduated in law from the University of Parma (Italy), he then earned a Master of Laws in
intellectual property law in 2003 (WIPO). After several years spent in law firms and in an Italian
nano-biotech company, he moved to Seattle in 2008 to work as a Visiting Lecturer at the University
of Washington where he has also earned in 2010 a Certificate in Business Administration from the
Foster Business School. Luca is a Fellow of the Stanford-Vienna Transatlantic Technology Law Forum,
Invited Researcher at Waseda University, and a Singularity University alumnus (GSP’10). Luca is the
co-founder of Impact HUB Trieste, and works as CEO, mentor, and advisor for several companies around
the world.
