The legal industry is undergoing a technological revolution, and a wave of acquisitions. In the last several years, Legal Technology (LegalTech) has exploded into an almost $400B market. From only 15 LegalTech companies on Angel List in 2009 to over 400 listed in 2013, technological disruption has affected every branch of the legal industry, including intellectual property and licensing.
